چکیده
Abstract Background Honeybees provide a wealth of valuable natural products containing health-promoting bioactive compounds, including honey, bee bread, venom, pollen, propolis, and royal jelly. In the present study, we investigated chemical composition four honeybee (bees, jelly, bread) derived from three medicinal plants (marjoram, trifolium, citrus) using headspace GC-MS. Results GC-MS analysis coupled with method resulted in identification 24 volatile compounds marjoram 14 trifolium 25 citrus e.g., some these appeared all types honey aroma, which are 2,3-dihydro-3,5-dihydroxy-6-methyl-4H-pyran-4-one, 2-furancarboxaldehyde, 5-(hydroxymethyl) other unique specific for each type where 23 were bees, 38 about 37 identified bees 2,4-decadienal, (E, E) methyl N-methyl anthranilate common all. Furthermore, jelly aroma acetic acid, 8-nonen-2-one furfural one compound both that is 2-furancarboxaldehyde,5-(Hydroxymethyl) 2,3-butanediol 5-methylfurfural also only appear furfur alcohol, Finally, 3 30 bread identified. Conclusions A detailed metabolomic product groups revealed an intriguing diversity, sample exhibiting its own fingerprint.

Pollinator services and the development of beekeeping as a poverty alleviating tool have gained considerable focus in recent years in sub-Saharan Africa. An improved understanding of the pervasive environmental extent of agro-chemical contaminants is critical to the success of beekeeping development and the production of clean hive products. This study developed and validated a multi-residue me...

متن کاملGC/GC-MS analysis, isolation and identification of bioactive essential oil components from the Bhutanese medicinal plant, Pleurospermum amabile.
We have hydrodistilled the essential oil (EO) from the aerial parts of the Bhutanese medicinal plant, Pleurospermum amabile using a Clevenger apparatus and evaluated this EO by GC/GC-MS and NMR analysis followed by testing for bioactivity. The GC-MS analysis identified 52 compounds with (E)-isomyristicin as a major component (32.2%). Repeated purification yielded four compounds; (E)-isomyristic...
متن کاملChemical Analysis of Pesticides Using GC/MS, GC/MS/MS, and LC/MS/MS
There are well over 500 registered pesticides worldwide for use in agricultural regions and new agrochemicals are introduced to the marketplace continuously. This chapter deals with the chemical analysis methods for the main pesticide chemical classes that are most frequently analyzed with gas chromatography (GC) or liquid chromatography (LC) coupled to mass spectrometry (MS). GC amenable pesti...
